As an Early Years Housekeeper, you will maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for children, staff, and visiting families. Your role ensures the nursery meets high standards of cleanliness, health, and safety throughout the day while supporting daily childcare operations.
This is a part-time role for a few hours each day, ideally between 10:00am and 12:00pm, with some flexibility.
Nursery Hygiene & Sanitization: Maintain pristine hygiene standards across children’s bathrooms and nappy changing stations.
Laundry Management: Perform routine daily laundry tasks for bedding, towels, and nursery linens.
Operational Support: Support mealtime service and regularly sanitize toys, play equipment, and common areas.
Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to nursery hygiene protocols, COSHH guidelines, and child safety regulations.
Cleaning Experience: Proven domestic or commercial cleaning background.
Food Safety Certification: Food Safety CIEH Level 2 (or equivalent) required on or before your start date.
Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and general Health & Safety rules.
Communication: Clear, friendly communication skills for interacting with colleagues, young children, and parents.
